Summary
If you asked Beidou years ago, when she was still in college, if she would marry her academic rival, she would have called you crazy.
If you asked Beidou today, while she’s on the job as a professor, she would still say no.
However, she did marry her academic rival and she loves her so much . . . as long as they’re not at work.
They graduated, got married, got a job at the same university, and started their own research. It became clear that despite their romantic entanglement . . . they still couldn’t get along when it came to their field. So, they have a rule: keep work at work and home at home. And it works . . . mostly.
Beidou and Ningguang are married. Prof. Crux and Prof. Lin are rivals.

Summary
Even though it's supposed to snow over a foot, the powers that be have not declared it a snow day for Teyvat University, meaning that some compromises will have to be made between Beidou and Ningguang as they head to work.
Beidou grabs her jacket and begins to put it on when Ningguang grabs her keys and tosses them at her, “Can you start mine too?”
She snatches them out of the air but pauses and stares at Ningguang, “. . . No.”
“No?” Ningguang repeats. “You’re gonna make me go out there in the cold?”
“You’re going to have to go outside eventually but that’s not the point,” Beidou begins. “But your car handles terribly in the snow. It’ll be safer if you drive with me in my truck.”

“Prof. Crux, I just realized that you’ve never told us how you met your wife.”
Beidou pauses. “Are you trying to distract me before class even begins?”
“Is it working?” Lumine counters.
Though Beidou makes a show out of tapping her chin and pretending to ponder, it isn’t even really a choice. She loves her wife. “Well, since I arrived early and everything . . .”
The students lean forward on the edge of their seats, waiting for Beidou to begin. She takes her time to sit on the desk and get comfortable.
“I met my wife on the first day of my master’s program, in my first class,” Beidou says. “And believe it or not, we didn’t like each other at first.”
“Really?” Thoma asks with wide eyes.
“Yes!” Beidou laughs. “In fact, we positively hated each other.”
