Eddie's heart leapt right into his throat and he stammered harder than he had since second grade all because Steve Harrington had stepped up right behind him.
Not just behind him, not just "let me look over your shoulder" hovering too close, no no. He could feel Steve's chest pressed against his back. Felt the tips of his pristine white sneakers tap against the back of Eddie's work boots.
"Uh-huh?" Steve murmured, voice husky and quiet in his ear.----
Steve catches Eddie alone at the car shop and invites him to a party.
