Summary
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes the immortal leader of a cult tries to summon the god of death and gets you instead. ‘Not dying’ just got a lot more complicated than ‘follow chemlab safety instructions.’ A tongue-in-cheek, Akatsuki-centric SI/OC.

Summary
Orochimaru remembered how interesting Tori was when she supposedly blew her own face off. This wasn’t so interesting that he ran to the clinic to see in person, but it was mildly amusing. The first time he saw her back in lab, he couldn’t resist approaching her.
Her facial skin was pink as a newborn mouse, oddly shiny, and the hair around her face fizzed out into an unfortunate halo of dark brown that turned to warmer tones when the light caught it. She looked absolutely ridiculous. Oh, how unfortunate for her. It made Orochimaru have to fight a smile as he dissected the body from their latest failed surgery. If nothing else, the girl was entertaining.

Orochimaru paused in the middle of writing, blinking at her.
“Hot potatoes?”

For the anonymous tumblr prompt: "I’m rereading plasticity and now I really want to see tori freeing herself and maybe another Akatsuki member from some kind of prison using a seal made of food. Could she use blood? Yes, but yogurt would absolutely be funnier"
