Summary
“It’s okay, Eve. You can look. I know the effect I have.”
She stands up and throws the apple core over the side of the ship before turning back to Eve.
“You can look at anything you want, when you want to now. You’re on a pirate ship,” she adds with a gleam in her eye. Eve scoffs, picks up the second apple and bites into it. Crunch. She holds Villanelle’s gaze defiantly.
“I’ll let you know when there’s anything worth looking at,” she says drolly.
Villanelle sucks her bottom lip, smirking more before turning and walking away.

Droplets of rain bead on her lips briefly before running off. Eve stares, mesmerized.
“I, um…n-no.”
Villanelle grins sharply.
“Do you want to?”
A loud crack of thunder interrupts. It matches the promise of Villanelle’s words, sinks down into her piercing gaze and fills Eve with want.
