This fanfic explores how the story of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone might have changed if Harry had a smart and cunning friend sharing his body… if the Dursleys had never seen a certain letter arrive and if Harry decided to explore King’s Cross all by himself on the 1st of September.

Harry's second school year ended with him and Tom finding out what heinous acts Voldemort committed to achieve immortality and why Tom exists in Harry's head in the first place. The discovery that Tom, the Riddle of the Diary and Voldemort are born of the same soul came as a huge shock, but with the help of his best friends, Neville and Hermione, Harry soon realized that Tom is is own person now and fundamentally different from is arch enemy they both seek to destroy. So Harry's and Tom's summer holidays start with a to-do-list: Survive the first weeks with the Dursleys, meet with his friends and find and destroy another soul piece of the Dark Lord. They could really do without the complications of an escaped mass murderer coming after Harry!

Summary
Harry's fourth school year is more exciting then ever: After the excitement of the Quidditch World Cup, Hogwarts is to host the famous Tri-Wizard-Tournament (which Harry definitely won't take part in, no thank you - not even if he was allowed to!) and a new and very creepy teacher is teaching DADA. Sirius won't do the smart thing and just stay away, so Harry recruits help from unexpected sources. Tom also has some interesting projects going, first and foremost learning how to enter Hermione's mind. But of course, there are evil forces at work that just won't let Harry and Tom have a nice and quiet school year and focus on academics. More Horcruxes turn up unexpectedly and give Tom a hard time, and to make matters worse, Voldemort thinks this is a good time to return to power. There's really no rest for the wicked!
