Summary
Hera was seriously considering sticking Percy Jackson in a closet until April.
It wouldn’t be much of a problem, right? She didn’t know a whole lot about human health, but she was pretty confident that they were strong enough to last four months without food or water. Most creatures could do that, she was pretty sure. Surely he’d be fine if she just… like, left him there. Hopefully.
Or: Hera kidnapped Percy and put him in a coma. Now she's got to take care of him until he wakes up (oops.) Involves Hera (grudgingly) starting to care, a very angry Sally Jackson, and an exasperated Hades. Not necessarily in that order.

Summary
Washing his hands makes Percy feel relaxed. It's not obsessive, or anything – at least, Percy doesn't think it is – but it is rhythmic, and he likes it. The feeling of the water makes him feel safe. At home. Like he's in the ocean, even if it's miles away.
The problem only arises when he starts to bleed.
Or:
Percy washes his hands too much, because the feeling of the water is comforting. The backlash? His skin becomes so dry it starts to bleed. At first, it's just embarrassing, and an annoyance – especially when people notice and make a big fuss about it – but soon, it becomes something that's a little bit deeper than it seems.
Based on my Tumblr post here.

Summary
Every time someone carves something on Thalia's tree, it appears on her skin as a tattoo.
There are the initials of couples inside hearts. Some "I was here in 2005"s. And, of course, a couple of "In memory of _____"s.
Thalia hates it and loves it.
Or: Magical tattoos appear on Thalia's body over the years, and they help her watch over Camp Half-Blood even from miles away, over many years. Beware of The Burning Maze spoilers!

Summary
'Percy had long stopped muttering apologies every time his opponent burst into dust. Nero had succeeded in that, at least. The problem: he was still ridiculously ethical. Probably the fault of that horrendous Sally Jackson. Nero should have known the boy would be trouble that moment he found out that the mother was a nice lady who worked at a candy shop.'
Or:
Nero, the primary antagonist of the Trials of Apollo series, was notorious for collecting heroes like Meg McCaffrey and brainwashing them into joining his small army of adopted demigod children. I found it a little absurd that while wandering around Manhattan and searching for soldiers, it didn't occur to him to track down and train Percy Jackson, potentially the most powerful half-blood in the city.
So, here is a completely canon-compliant (I swear that it is, you'll see) fic in which Percy spends two years at the Tower of Nero as a child.

Summary
Annabeth has made a friend. A friend who's not half-goat. A friend who's not a tree. A friend who's not just an older brother who she never even sees anymore.
So of course, he's got to come with an impending death sentence, because Annabeth just can't have nice things. Naturally Chiron picks this moment to be concerned for her mental health.
Or: Annabeth returns from her quest to the Underworld saying that Percy Jackson is her friend. Chiron tries to remind her that she won't get to keep him for long, if the Great Prophecy unfolds in the way it's supposed to.
