Jason was supposed to protect the innocent, protect the kids, and his whole world view crumbled around him as he realized he couldn’t take it back. He would always be the type of child murdering scum that he’d been trying to rid Gotham of. He would always be a Robin killer.
How was he any better than the Joker?
OR Jason thinks that he accidentally kills Tim at Titan's Tower. He doesn't handle it well.

Summary
By the time he was twelve, Jason Peter Todd knew deep down that he was meant to be alone. Knowing that he was meant to be alone, however, did not mean that there weren’t nights where he really wished that he had someone (anyone) to rely on.
As Jason clung to the brick wall clutching at the stab wound on his abdomen, he reflected that tonight was one of those nights.

Tim was used to being on his own. That’s why it wasn’t until he was alone in his room in the early hours of the morning doing research (he couldn’t sleep) that he noticed something was amiss.
He went to mutter a curse under his breath, and his lips wouldn’t open.
In other words, Tim gets cursed to remain silent. No one notices.
