Summary
Riddle’s mother wasn’t a bad person. She was strict, quick to anger, and didn’t always listen to others, but she wasn’t a bad person. She had reasons for what she did. No matter what, in the end, Riddle could understand it.
And if anything…worse than usual happened, then all Riddle had to do was wait. Eventually, everything would go back to normal.
So when she adds a strange addition to the drawing room, Riddle tries his best not to worry. But all his efforts turn out to be for nothing when he sees the finished product.
Because his mother has bought a person, and suddenly nothing is normal ever again.
Riddle’s life spirals down a path of old memories and new realizations as he does whatever he can to try and fix things for his family, and more importantly- the mer his mother has imprisoned.

Summary
"Eternal modesty is the curse of the guilty."
Trey had a confession.
For a long time now, he'd been chased by a certain guilt. It was quiet now; he often didn't think about it at all. But it was there. He knew it was there every time that voice whispered in his head, telling him he'd done something horrible wrong.
Nine years was a long time, though. Maybe it was time to leave it behind.
But that option quickly disappears as the past comes back and slaps him across the face, held by the hand of a new foreboding future he'd looked away from for far too long.

Summary
Azul knew transactions. He knew dealmaking. He knew the art of it; he reveled in it.
Which was exactly why he understood just how dangerous it was to be the product of such a deal.
Kidnapped from his home, he found himself being presented and sold at an underground auction on land. Held captive in the home of his new "buyer", Azul believed his situation can't get much worse. That was before his captor stole his voice, transformed him into a blot-covered monster, and sold him off to a strange research facility.
Azul understood nothing about being a test subject. Unfortunately, he was about to learn.
With only his wits to depend on, the task of escape seems insurmountable. However, his key to freedom could be right in front of him, in the form of two brothers; one stricken by grief, and the other not quite human.
Only time will tell. And it's running out fast.

Alternatively: Azul's only hope is some gamer guy who may or may not be suffering under the crippling weight of indescribable, bone-crushing guilt
