  English assignment! this is the first work of the fandom. that is a crime. I may try fixing that.
  We were supposed to write "missing" scenes surrounding a character we thought should get more attention/development. I wanted to focus on the white kid, because contrasting to the main, adult, PoC protagonists, he's the youngest in the book and raised on the opposite side, having an entirely different perspective. I alsoooo picked him because I knew i'd be able to portray him accurately.
