Summary
Though he's not too thrilled with the purpose of their mission, Dorian heads out with the Inquisitor and Bull to try and secure an alliance with the Qunari. He misses Cullen and Barkon Felix Muttrius keenly, and he hopes they can finish this quickly and easily so he can go home. A letter provides much needed cheer... until he realizes how far Sylaera is willing to go in order to get what she wants.

Summary
Instead of turning their party homeward after their disastrous (in Dorian's opinion) mission in the Storm Coast, Sylaera has them travel to New Crestwood. They never did hunt down that dragon, but Dorian isn't sure that slaying it will do anything to improve The Iron Bull's mood. Sera is acting very unlike herself, and all he wants to do is go home to Cullen and Barkon Felix Muttrius.
Since he remains at the mercy of the Inquisitor's whims, all he can do is write his Amatus.

Summary
Honestly, Dorian had thought the worst part about coming home would be Cullen finally ending things with Sylaera. He'd seen first hand how wildly unstable she was, after all, and she rather regarded the Commander as a personal possession of hers. Dorian had been sure that once that bit of unpleasantness was over everything would settle into a new normal. Though she might stomp her feet and perhaps bloody a few more noses, it wasn't like she could murder either of them, after all - Cullen commanded her forces, and Dorian was the only mage she seemed able to stand. He'd thought the worst she could do was rage at them, and then it would be over. Unfortunately, the Inquisitor is far more devious - and vicious - than he'd ever given her credit for.
Oh, and there were still the small matters of Corypheus and Fade Rifts and something about the world ending. A dashing mage's work is never done.
