I thought the day would never arrive, but it's here, and I'm wide awake throughout, after pinching myself a little too hard on the cheeks and not catapulting out of bed like I should've. It makes me giddy thinking about it; I mean, this is the first time I'm going to commit fully to someone! What a dizzying experience. It took a while; maybe Pearl was struggling to comprehend the concept of being with a woman, but after seeing her smile and those words she said to me, I think it finally clicked on her, and she was very happy about it.
