Summary
The air was warm and dry in that way only desert air could be. The Arizona sun beat down persistently upon the cracked earth and gravel beneath his Converse-clad feet. The duffle bag over his shoulder, though not particularly heavy, weighed on him with the promise of an uncertain future—what he hoped would be the start of a better, far brighter life than the one he had led until now.
This is a retelling of the original Next Generation Cartoon. It's my version of what could have been, if the project had been given time to develop and its screenwriters time to properly flesh out its characters, so though it takes inspiration from the cartoon, I'm giving it a more mature twist!

There, with the door locked and the music up, they can do anything they want. The taboo of their situation stopped bothering them weeks ago. They stopped dancing around what they wanted and started claiming every ounce of pleasure and joy they can in the privacy of their little bubble.~X and Speed enjoy each other's company.
