While he chased the edges of the universe, Brian lingered quietly in his orbit — the unseen hand carrying him to bed, the coffee waiting at his elbow, the sandwiches that appeared each morning.
Stephen never noticed the gaze that followed him, nor the love that asked for nothing in return. And Brian? He was content to live in the light of a star that would never turn his way.
