Guest didn't remember falling asleep.
One moment he was sitting in the living room, slumped forward in his chair with the TV on. The next, he was stumbling toward the bedroom.
He collapsed onto the bed. Didn't even pull the covers over. His eyes were barely open as his head hit the pillow.
When he opened his eyes, it was late.
Too late.
The house was dim and quiet, but the kind of quiet that didn't feel empty. Warmth pressed against his back— no, not warmth.
Weight.
Something was on top of him.
Guest tried to move but found his limbs sluggish, like they were stuck underwater. His chest heaved with a tightness he couldn't explain. He tried to twist— tried to look— but the thing on him shifted, straddling the small of his back with deliberate pressure.
Then came a hand.
Massive. Calloused but somehow... soft.
It slid down to his shoulder, thumb pressing into the muscle. Once. Twice. The knot in his shoulder cracked under the pressure.Series
