“Six.” Xue Meng replies, stumbling over his next words. “But! But I’ll be seven in ten months. Ten?” He looks up at his mom who nods her head. “Ten months.”
Chu Wanning sighs a little. Six is a bit young to be so strict. So Chu Wanning crouches down to be on eye level with Xue Meng. Xue Meng shows no sign of retreat at the cold expression frozen across his face.
“I will hold your hand until you are seven. Then you are not a child and I only hold hands with children. Understand?”

Mobei Jun clears his throat. “You don’t know them.”
Shang Qinghua is immediately concerned. And very, very appalled. “Have they seen the width of your shoulders? Have they- Have they seen your muscles? How the hell can they think that you would fit into this?!” he demands, scowling. “This is an insult! I will not stand by this! Did you punch them? I hope you punched them. I hope you punched them, and then took this very nice cardigan off them.”
Mobei Jun blinks at him. “Is there- Is there something wrong with my shoulders?” he asks.
(Or, the one where Mobei Jun awkwardly courts Shang Qinghua with gifts that he 100% did not prepare, nope, not him, he just found them by the road.)
