    Felix recoils into his seat.
    “I said no.”
    Liu Xiao smiles with all the warmth of a snake bearing its fangs. “Such restraint.”
    He takes his time licking the syrup from his fingers.
    Felix’s hands are curled tightly in his lap, and he looks everywhere but at Liu Xiao. No doubt wishing they were already at their destination. Too bad for him, Liu Xiao had already taken pains to ensure their route would be stretched out, much like his restraint had to be.
    Such resolve, he can’t wait to see it finally shatter.

    Perhaps Liu Xiao hasn’t been paying Felix proper attention at all.
