    The Gn’ael’ya convoy had chased the Khanre Steadfast for 47 galactic cycles when they finally responded to the desperate hails their quarry had been sending on a four-hour repeat. A wall of silence since their initial “prepare to be destroyed”, but they were ready to negotiate, the message said. A party was welcome to come to the flagship and discuss “terms that would be pleasant to both parties”.

    It didn’t take long for the relieved discussions of how their pursuers were finally ready to talk circulated the Steadfast’s halls, and that relief was as-swiftly followed by hushed explanations of how exactly the Gn’ael’ya negotiated. And then there was an expectant, waiting silence, crew members glancing at each other and wondering.

    Or: in which an ability to eat hot peppers and toss back shots comes in really handy.

    Izuku loves collecting Hero Trading Cards. As it turns out, he isn't the only one.

    There's a man staring at the cards on the end of an aisle, and Izuku nearly walks into him. Which wouldn't be a big deal, he would just apologise and hurry on because he isn't sure which bit of the shop he needs, things have moved since he was last here, except it's Aizawa-sensei. Ah.

    "Oh, Problem Child."  It's deadpan, utterly flat, but Izuku doesn't miss how there is a flush seeping beneath his teacher's stubble. His own cheeks are just as hot, somehow embarrassed already,
    "Uhm, hi, uhm, Sensei. Hi."
    "You already said that kid," the man says, shifting slightly. They're both flushing though.

    Izuku flails, mentally, desperate for something to latch onto, for some way to make this less awkward, just something-

    "So, uhm, you're looking at the Make Some Noise pack? That's been pretty popular, but it shouldn't devalue much I reckon. Even if Hero Snap thinks it will."
