Summary
New Chapter 3 Inserted on May 2, 2022
Life after Stalag 13 means big adjustments on the home front--facing people and places that in many cases have changed beyond recognition. An examination of what the transition was like. The title comes from a failed promise of British Prime MInister David Lloyd George at the end of the first World War--that the men returning home would find themselves welcomed back in a land fit for heroes.
I've published a number of stories recently on "the other platform" that hang together thematically, but I put them up as stand-alone stories. I'm combining them, and the chapter titles in this story correspond to the stand-alone stories on the other platform.

Summary
Never let it be said that Col. Robert E. Hogan wasn't willing to learn from his enemies...the problem was the sort of things they were teaching him...like coping with toxic firewood, or unpleasant surprises in the Red Cross packages, and what was a naalbinder anyway? Beta'd by Belphegor, and much thanks.

Summary
When an allied aircraft accidentally bombs Stalag Thirteen, Carter and Newkirk are trapped in a tunnel cave-in not knowing if anyone else has survived.
Happy Birthday, Terri Spencer!
Dedicated to my sister from another mister, Spencer5460, the only person I would want by my side during a tunnel cave-in. Uhhh, well you know I wouldn’t really want my best friend to experience that, but, well, gee whiz, you know what I mean. I love you!
Inspired by the song “When The Morning Comes” by Great Big World.
