An unfortunate turn of events turned the most tortured soul into the most vile creature. Draco was trying to be better, wasn't he? He was at least trying his best. But no, none of that meant anything, because Draco was forced into a life of vampirism: a craving for blood and deception anew. Draco thought he'd developed a pretty good grip on his own morality, but a certain git with a certain scar popped up out of nowhere, seemingly determined to drag him off the well lit path.
Draco hoped this wasn't a test, because he was failing horribly.

Summary
While the wizarding world were led to believe that Harry Potter was treated like a prince, the reality was much worse.
It was a shock for Draco to realise the other 11 year old in Madame Malkins' wasn't simply uninterested in him, but couldn't speak. He was even more shocked to discover that this child was none other than Harry Potter, someone he had been expecting to be as cocky as Snape had told him James was, not this small, shy, mute boy.
From that moment on, Draco swore to himself that he would protect the smaller of the two, even if his parents disagreed with his decision.

Summary
This is book 2 in the Mute series. First book has the same title as the series.
Harry is doing much better now that he's never going back to the Dursleys, and that Dumbledore wouldn't be able to touch him anymore. Natasha and McGonagall had done a sweep through Hogwarts multiple times to make sure any spells Dumbledore had left were removed.
Unfortunately, after Predawn started acting a little too guilty, Harry started to hear whispers in the walls, whispers that were talking about things that made Harry's heart pound in his throat, and his blood run cold from fear.
