Summary
“You hate talking about things like this,” she says, and she’s not wrong, but he also hates sitting across from her all day when he knows something is wrong. It’s a new feeling, over the past several months, and he doesn’t… hate it, but it is inconvenient.
“That has literally never stopped you.”
“It’s nothing, Tim.”
“Like I said, bullshit, Chen. Something’s wrong. Tell me.”
Tim can tell he’s close to winning, because Lucy is growing more and more tense as they volley back and forth.
“Tim, leave it alone,” she says, and she almost sounds serious. Tim glances over, hoping he hasn’t pushed too far, but he can see the way she bites her lip, and the way her eyes keep flickering to him and then away again, and he knows she wants to tell someone what’s wrong, she just doesn’t think she should.
“Lucy. Please. I can tell you’re not yourself, and if you get hurt because you’re too damn stubborn to just tell me what’s fucking wrong— ”
“Chris can’t get me off and I’m fucking horny, Tim!”

Summary
Lucy knows that here are a million reasons she shouldn't, starting with the fact that Tim Bradford is a complete and utter asshole, detouring sharply around the fact that she’s dating Nolan, and then ending with the fact that he’s her training officer, but when he pushes her up against the wall in the women’s locker room after slamming the door shut behind him, she finds herself giving in almost immediately.
“You. Are. Infuriating,” he growls, and Lucy whimpers, rubbing her thighs together as a bolt of arousal surges through her body, lighting her on fire before settling in the pit of her stomach.
OR
A retelling of Lucy's Rookie year in which she and Tim get together much sooner, but it's much more complicated and bumpy.

"Unless it is?" She must have some kind of short circuit in her brain. Because she hears his words. They reach her ear. And are sent on from there to her brain. In a fraction of a hundredth. But something must be going wrong with the processing. "Unless it is?" That would mean ... no he couldn't have said that. "Unless it is?" That look. Those steel blue eyes. The question she sees in them. Has he blinked at all in the last few seconds? Lucy say something. And she tries to think. But she can't think. Because her brain has a lapse. Not one of those blackouts you might have in an exam. "Unless it is?" No, it's not a blackout. Say something, Lucy. But she can't say anything. Because her brain has obviously switched to stand-by mode. Because it would mean ... no it can't be. "Unless it is?"
OR
A story about Lucy and Tim's secret dating era. The entire story includes what we see in the series and what happens in between. The evolution of feelings from that nervous question about a first date to the mutual trust that we see just a few episodes later. From nobody knows anything until suddenly everyone knows Chenford is a thing.

Summary
“To the end of the world,” Lucy murmurs, and she doesn’t know if it’s the look in his eyes, the desperation of the moment, or the knowledge that the world might be ending and they may never get another chance that propels them forward.
Tim smirks, her heart thunders in her chest, and she takes a single step closer to him.
“Whenever that may be,” he says, and then he’s raising the glass to his lips and taking a long swig. Lucy mirrors the movement and then licks her lips, the tequila burning down her throat as Tim stares at her, his own lips wet with the whiskey he’s clutching in his hand.
“Tim,” she breathes, because despite the fact that he hasn’t let her be afraid yet, she is a little bit.
“Lucy,” he murmurs.
She doesn’t know who moves first, just that, later, it keeps her up at night.
OR
Chenford hooks up during the missile threat and there are consequences.
