Summary
Following the Battle of New York, the Avengers Initiative kicks into high gear under the leadership of Steve Rogers, i.e. Captain America. Tony didn’t mean to become part of this initiative, but it makes sense to sign on due to his experience with SHIELD and Rhodey’s War Machine suits.
The upside: Tony’s tech can be used in a widespread and meaningful way to help protect people. The downside: the last time Tony saw Steve, he’d rejected Steve’s proposal of marriage and broke his heart, leading to almost ten years of the two having no contact whatsoever. Until now.

Summary
Tony Stark/Carbonell and Steve Rogers broke up seven years ago. Tony had convinced himself he'd moved on, having spent the seven years building a new life for himself and erasing all traces of his love for Steve.
Steve coming back into his life in the most unexpected way—by becoming his new colleague—threw a wrench into that.
(A.K.A. the getting-back-together fic where Tony works in robotic prosthetics at Fujikawa Industries, Steve is one-third of a company team visiting from London, and the trials and tribulations that occur as the two of them are forced to contend with their past relationship over the three weeks of Steve's stay.)
