   A modern day alternate universe where Alina is a starving artist working as a barista with Alexei and Nikolai. The Darkling is mysteriously handsome customer who takes interest in Alina. Oh, and she lives with Mal which greatly complicates everything.

   Get ready for the coffee puns!
