Summary
Madara gave Hashirama one condition to agree to peace—Tobirama had to die. Hashirama rejected it, but Tobirama agreed. In secret. He sent a message to Madara, and met him in the forest between their territories.
Madara quickly learned to regret his demand. Too bad it was too late. ... Or was it?

Summary
Senju Tobirama had a plan. Granted it wasn't a very good plan - but it was a plan. Heal Uchiha Izuna and then disappear so that his brother and his clan could finally have peace, without the White Demon there to ruin it.
One problem - he hadn't accounted for Uchiha Madara or how stubbornly he would pursue him.

Summary
"There is a long silence while Madara considers the situation, and Tobirama’s cold anger ebbs and flows around them. It’s reassuring, somehow, to know that the other man is angry for him - Madara is so used to his elders’ demands, to shouldering through as an Omega clan head, to taking these indignities on the chin and moving on; this time he can’t and there will be consequences."
When Madara is rescued from bandits by Tobirama - what was Izuna thinking - the last thing he's expecting is to be treated with respect.

Summary
Even at the moment of the hiraishin's conception, Tobirama knew the dangers of meddling with the very threads that make up the fabric of existence. He knew that repeated usage only made it easier to traverse between the dimensions because the user became physically more susceptible to slipping through the cracks.
But knowing something is possible theoretically is very different from experiencing it for himself.
