Summary
When Shen Yuan dies, cursing the disappointing ending of Proud Immortal Demon Way, he wakes up to find himself inside the story, as a demon NPC. After that experience, Shen Yuan retreats into solitude again… until the Immortal Alliance Conference, where he decides to intervene more intentionally in Luo Binghe's fate. After taking the young protagonist under his wing, however, he’s surprised to learn just how much the story has already diverged from its origins.
And he and Luo Binghe are both surprised when the Bai Zhan War God, Liu Qingge, tracks them down—determined to ‘rescue’ the disciple who once saved his life.
