   Summary

   People change. Especially after traumatic experiences, and especially after growing older. And while the war is over, and he knows he should relax, everything around Ash is slipping anyway. It doesn't matter if he smiles, if the world around him doesn't smile back. He's on the Orange Islands now, and yet the people he held closest are dying flames.

   And the wind is growing, distantly. Ash can't tell if it'll be the wind or themselves to break his friends the most, but for now, he seriously needs to hold onto that slowly flickering hope.
