Summary
SUMMARY: What if Ichigo learned a different lesson from his mother’s death? How would being watchful and wary change the events in his life? And what if that wariness made him more thoughtful and spiritual? What if, as well as being spirit-aware, Ichigo was self-aware?
Warning: This is an attempt at as real a story as I can craft from a series of graphic novels and animated shows about death gods, spirit wars, and supernatural humans. As such, some characters will die. There will be some romance, some torture, some philosophy, some friendship, and some death. It shares some elements of my story ‘To Protect is To Defend’, but it stands on its own and follows a different story line.

Summary
