Summary
Leona ignores the call of the door. He pretends he can't hear the ghosts screaming, the sound muffled and distant, a whisper. They are a presence at the edge of his vision, shadows in the hall, a weight that makes the house creak and groan, a breeze that rattles the doors. He ignores the tug of the pull, the temptation. He knows deep down what's beyond the door, and it's not worth it.
Leona's new husband is hiding something.
