A chill breeze from the ocean swirled the smattering of sand at their feet, the fumes of evening traffic thick in the air. Hajek cocked his head at her, eyes slitted and jaw set. “You’ll do what you’re damn well told.” he growled and just then she felt Tim’s fingers slide into her belt loops.
“Baby, babe...” He drew her back against him, leaning on the car, and slipped his hands from her belt loops into her front pockets. Her concentration wavered precariously, fracturing in two when he brushed his nose along her temple, lips against her cheek, as he pulled her down to sit on his leg. Eyes on Hajek, skin burning everywhere she could feel Tim.
She couldn’t fight it. Sava wouldn’t.
