    Summary

    Inspired by the "X-Wing" series of novels and comics, this is the first in a planned series of TIE Fighter novels following the exploits of the famed 181st Imperial Fighter Group. After the defection of Baron Fel at the Battle of Brentaal IV, the 181st must find its role in the crumbling Empire. The unit is sent to the Outer Rim on a mission with unclear objectives, where its new pilots, newly led by Turr Phennir and the enigmatic ace pilot Maarek Stele, will find either glory, death, or more curious things...

    This story is written to be fully compliant with the pre-2015 Star Wars Legends (Expanded Universe) continuity, as well with all stories in the Star Wars ReExpanded project (in particular "Hour of Judgment" by HandofThrawn45 and the "Dorset Konnair" series by WraithFourteen).
