Zoey watches as Mira lets her gold rimmed glasses fall down her nose just enough that she can stare deep into her eyes. Mira has very nice eyes.
“Quit your job.”
“….. what?”
“Join our K-Pop band.”
OR
Zoey never moves to Seoul, having abandoned her music dreams. She’s peacefully (boringly) going to college and working as a dead end barista when suddenly two hot women show up trying to make her believe in the power of music again/ make her their sugar baby/ fulfill her destiny of fighting demons.

“Or what?” He squeezes her arm, as if to wordlessly repeat his question; taunting her.
“Or I will fire you,” a new voice replies from behind them. Mira almost jumps, looking up in surprise to find that Rumi and space bun girl have followed them out the back door.
They look furious.
OR,
Mira has been on her own since she ran away from home at fifteen, and she plans to keep it that way. Rumi and Zoey are having none of it.

Celine was put in an impossible situation. Run the Starlight Sisters record label, try to keep demons out of the world in the absence of two hunters, and raise a child that wasn't hers, all on her own.
Oh, and of course, just to add to the difficulty of her situation, the kid is half demon. She's lucky she's so stinking cute.

AKA, Celine being a good mom au.
I've seen so many stories completely villainizing Celine, which I'm totally interested in exploring don't get me wrong, but I also disagree that that's how she is in canon. She's a lot more complex than that, I think. That being said, this ALSO isn't based on canon. This is Celine doing a better job at being the parent Rumi needed.
Also note that the first chapter is a prologue and not really in the style that the rest of the fic will be written in, it's just like that for atmosphere!
