Summary
Gyatso finds Aang before he runs away inadvertently leading to him dying during the Air Nomad Genocide. After the devastating loss of an entire element of benders, in a desperate attempt to protect the balance of the world the Avatar spirit and Vayu try to consolidate their strength by merging into one being.
This has the side effect of accidentally fusing Aang's consciousness with the air temples until he becomes 4 sentient buildings
