Summary
The humans of the republic have waged war against the witches, believing them to be the source of the possessions and murders. People found out to be witches are burnt at the stake and executed. Are they not?
The war has gone on for 5 years. Milos is 20 now, 5 years since his sister, the princess, died and he was locked away. His twin brother returns from the war to inform him that they are the last surviving witches of the northern kingdom of Zvezda, everyone else is dead.
He thinks he finally has a chance to live, maybe they could go somewhere where the republic could never find them. But Casmire wants to kill them all, just like how the humans had done to them. He'd rather not. He'd rather be far away from all this.
