Summary
Lieutenant Commander Kathryn Janeway is no shrinking violet and refuses to be ashamed of being an omega. It’s true that being in thrall to her hormones every few months is utterly ridiculous, but the main difficulty is the ingrained social structure that prevents people of her designation rising the ranks of Starfleet. Well, now she has an opportunity to champion her designation as she becomes the first omega to be accepted onto the Accelerated Command Programme, an elite training course for Starfleet’s brightest and best. She fully intends to plough through the gruelling course, ignoring any outdated prejudices her classmates might have about her status. Unfortunately, it seems her scent has been caught by William Riker, the most swaggering, posturing, smug, cocky, arrogant, handsome, intelligent and surprisingly sensitive and thoughtful alpha she’s ever met. How tiresome.
