    Steve comes to and his feet are hanging over a ledge, a 250 foot drop beneath him sending his head swooping up. He’s vaguely aware of a nervous presence a few feet behind him, a voice that sounds a little familiar, can roughly place himself somewhere at the quarry - he must’ve ended up here while he was on patrol - but all he can think of is his hands white knuckling a baseball bat and the weight of the distance under his feet."
