Summary
Humans, pathetic things, are born screaming.
Henry Creel remembers the noise before he remembers light. Before faces. Before language. A tearing intrusion from nothing into everything—sound, thought, emotion, desire—an endless psychic static that never abates. Other minds broadcast into his mercilessly and without restraint, wants and fears and memories all pressed together, overlapping like radio frequencies badly tuned.
Since the moment he was born, Henry has known nothing but noise.
His power gives him something like omniscience. He can hear people’s thoughts unspoken, and see things without needing his eyes. It also makes him a prisoner, because to know everything is to be denied silence, to hear everything is to never be alone. The grating din of others’ thoughts roughens him over time, frays his edges, demands constant effort to keep his abilities from tearing outward unchecked. Control is not innate, it is work.
Exhausting work.
Until he meets you.

Summary
It never would have occurred to Billy Hargrove that there might be some guy in Hawkins, Indiana that people wanted to talk about more than him. You’d think his arrival would be the biggest thing to happen to a small, shitty town like this.
He learns the story of Steve Harrington pretty quickly. The most popular boy in school kidnapped from his house in the middle of the night, locked up by some psycho. A ghost brought back from the dead. A very pretty ghost with an attack dog at his heels.
Continuation of A Boy Goes Missing.

Summary
“What the fuck?” Steve blurts. Again. He's starting to lose count of how often it's been. “Who do you even think you are, you fucking weirdo?”
The guy cocks his head in confusion, but only for a second. Then, that infuriating grin slips back on. He's handsome, in a dangerous and rugged way, with his wild hair and bruised lip.
“Apologies, he rumbles. “Where are my manners?”
And then, without getting up off the ground, he reaches out and takes Steve’s hand in his. Steve watches, heart in his throat and eyes wide with confusion, how the guy bends into a dramatic bow and reverently kisses his own blood off his raw knuckles.
“The name is Edward. King Edward of the Woodland Mountains. Also oh-so-aptly known as Edward the Banished, though my friends just call me Eddie. And you, my dear …”
He looks up, all glinting eyes under dark lashes and Steve needs to swallow against the lump clogging his throat.
“You're going to be the one who saves me.”

Summary
They escaped the lab. They fought monsters. They survived the Upside Down.
Humans were far harder to defeat.
Jim Hopper and Steve Harrington are trapped in a Russian prison, held in brutal conditions. A violent and sadistic Russian officer fixates on Steve, and Hopper is powerless to intervene as the kid he used to lecture about parties and beer becomes a target of relentless torment. When a chaotic rescue mission saves Hopper but forces him to leave Steve behind, he makes a plan to go back for him on his own.
The Party doesn't abandon its own, though, and Steve belongs to them. With the kids, some helpful adults, and the teens who are still unsure how they've gotten dragged into so many life-or-death situations, Hopper heads back into hell to save the kid he failed.
This time, he'll die before he leaves Steve behind.
