Summary
Harry had always craved the cheesy decorations, ever since he first saw them through the grates of the cupboard vent. Wizarding Christmas was its own parallel thing, awesome in its own right, but not at all the sort of thing he had always grown up jealous of. For Hermione, it reminded her of the Christmases with her parents. The last one she had spent with them was in her first year. Seven years later, after many wonderful holidays spent in the wizarding world, she wanted a return to form.
When Christmas Day finally came, it was pretty much perfect.

Summary
It had been Dobby’s turn to monitor the Gryffindor common room for any stray requests of tea or biscuits from the students. He was watching one now, one Hermione Granger, pensively writing away at something at the desk she usually occupied when the library offered no quarter. Of course, he couldn’t read all that well. Still, there were some things Dobby could read, and that very much included the name of Harry Potter - which he was seeing multiple times! Surely, if it mentioned Mr. Potter that many times, it must have to be about him, and he should know!
Dobby shows Harry the outgoing post of his best friend. It gets him thinking.
