Summary
Luffy felt like he was seven again, weak and a crybaby. He couldn't save Sabo.
He wasn't seven anymore though, he was still weak but at least he wasn't a crybaby anymore. Luffy would do whatever he had to if it saved Ace. He didn't give a shit if the next few years were going to be hell for him. For Ace he'd do it. His crew would be fine, they were awesome like that.

Summary
“You can say no, if you don’t want to.” He says with an earnest voice, no mischievous glint in his eyes anymore.
That’s his chance to get the hell away from here and Luffy should take it. He saw him put a cigarette out on someone’s arm and waving a gun around, threatening to kill the poor guy. Everything about this man screams danger and Luffy really, really should go far away from him right now. The rational side in his brain begging him to get up before he doesn’t have the chance anymore.
But the thing is… he doesn’t want to get away.

Donquixote 'Corazon' Rosinante could have bled out in the snow. Alone and cold and smiling, he could have died with no one to remember him but his Father and son.
OR Donquixote Rocinante could have decided enough was enough and turned tail, running off with his son for a chance at something better for the both of them. He could have taken his kid and run, creating a chain of events that would change everything - one small domino knocking into another and another until they're too tall and wide to see start to end. Creating a world similar to the original, but no where near the same.Wherein he becomes a father of four, gains a lover, a family, and a network of people he can love. Wherein his one small decision changes more than the world could ever know.
Oh? And what if one little southern Marine just got a little bit lucky? Setting off another domino chain to really screw some people over.

Summary
This was not at all what Luffy thought he signed up for.
And Luffy isn’t to be blamed here. It seemed like a sweet deal at the time and Luffy would have been a fool to turn it down.
At least that’s what he thought when Trafalgar Law looked at him with his stupidly gorgeous face and offered to help out with his student loan.
If only Luffy had paid attention to the dangerous glint in those piercing golden eyes…
