Knowing that Phoenix’s phone was an old brick that couldn’t even display emojis, Miles would send hearts emojis at the end of his message or he would send love confessions using special characters. He had to express his feelings somehow, as his therapist had told him that repressing them was a bad idea, and he knew that Phoenix was never going to see those messages anyway.
