Summary
The man known as “John Smith” clicks the watch open. Golden light swirls through the air, coming right for him, going through him. He screams, his body on fire, what feels like every single cell burning, his blood boiling, and right before what should be the peak of the pain – it stops. His blood turns from boiling to sluggish ice.
He looks at his empty hand and blinks at it. He had – he had a watch.
“Whoops,” someone says. He raises his head. There’s a woman in front of him. She feels incongruous. An apparition that shouldn’t be here.
She feels familiar. He’s never seen her before.
She has his watch in her hand. It’s closed. “A tiny bit rude of me,” she adds, sounding apologetic. “But it’ll be interesting. I promise.” She chuckles. “At least for me.”

Missy raises her head just as the Doctor steps in front of her, the ends of his scarf trailing into the grass. Her hearts quicken a bit. That one. She didn’t expect that one. She hasn’t seen him much, and not in a very, very long time. Too long a time.
“Ah. So that’s what it was all about,” he says, smiling brightly at her but talking to himself.

She could make this into a little nostalgia trip. She had liked this one, centuries ago, with all his changeable moods and exuberance and cheerfulness even faced with the prospect of pain. She still liked this one. She always liked the Doctor. “Nothing wrong with that. Your plans are always falling apart as soon as someone starts asking questions.”

I found the lyrics truly poetic and translated them into literal Hieroglyphs, thought that the wonderful words would look good in words such obscure... The next chapters will have the literal translation into English and the original lyrics!
