Summary

Summary
During the Defiance of Duskendale, while much of Ser Barristan Selmy’s plan goes as intended, during the final moments of the escape, Aerys is struck by an arrow intended for Ser Barristan, killing the King. Barristan brought the body to the encampment, and the next day, Lord Tywin Lannister, Aerys’ Hand, assaulted the city, bringing House Darklyn and House Holland to heel. The entirety of House Darklyn is put to the sword, with Lord Denys Darklyn and his wife, Lady Serala of Myr, were instead hanged, a punishment more often for smallfolk and commoners. House Hollard was shown some small leniency, not being entirely eliminated, with the squire, Robin Hollard, and Dontos Hollard being spared the block.
