Her heart broke but she smiled, she always did. However tonight was different, Colin was going to marry Marina. Her hopes and dreams shattered at her feet, Colin would never be hers. "Happy tears for the couple, I hope?" Next to her Anthony sipped on his glass of whiskey. Penelope dared a small glance his way. She knew that if she tried to speak all her strength and resolve would disappear so she just nodded. A forced smile on her face praying Anthony wouldn't notice but he did. "I think you might need this more than me" he handed her his glass and she took it down in one gulp.
No one was looking her way, no one ever did so she bee lined it to the bar. She would need more than just one glass of whiskey if she wanted to survive tonight. But one person did notice. Anthony Bridgerton, the wrong Bridgerton.
