“Citizens of Oz!” Madame Morrible began, and for a second Elphaba thought herself celebrated – some naive part of herself believed Madame Morrible would host a celebration all throughout Oz for her. But Elphaba knew better – it doesn't match up with what she heard before.“There is an enemy who must be found and captured. Believe nothing she says. She has stolen our Grimmerie. She is evil, responsible for the mutilation of these poor innocent monkeys! Her green skin is but an outward manifestorium of her twisted nature.” Oz, Elphaba Thropp what have you done? How could you do something so – inhumane?
Elphaba felt herself take a few steps back, before she heard another sound;
“Look at her, she's ‘Wicked’!” a chorus of men shouted, and Elphaba couldn't help but wonder if they were shouting at her.
“Kill her, she's ‘Wicked’!”
Elphaba felt herself blacking out once again.
She looked around, everyone in Shiz staring at her, she felt Galinda’s warm hand holding hers, she felt Morrible's watchful gaze.
