Summary
"Arthur had learned this dance over the past decade. It was much more delicate than the ugly tumble it took to start a fight. Finding out if someone was itching for violence was simple, the signs often plain and in the open. It was expected of men to have the urge sometimes, as if they had a build-in affinity towards bloodied knuckles and bruised skin.
But the other dance was more complicated. It worked through small gestures, lingering gazes, fleeting touches. It had taken Arthur years to learn the intricacies of it.
He had also learned the prize for any misstep."
A look at Arthur's life, 1877-1898.

Summary
"With a sudden violent gasp Duck Newton sits up in his bed. His hand grasps his loose shirt above his heart, feeling it beat fast and strong inside him. His chest rises and falls way too fast, riding out a wave of panic he took with him from a dream he had.
Or maybe a vision. He doesn't know if he still can get those."
Duck Newton, having lost all his powers, is unsure if a recent vivid dream of his was actually a prophetic vision. He turns to Indrid Cold, local mothman and seer of many futures, just to find the man's Winnebago empty with nothing left but obvious signs of a fight having taken place - and in the middle of it an all too familiar pair of red glasses.A story mostly about Indrid Cold and his inner demons, and how Duck Newton punched the mothman a second time.

"In my hands the knife, I twist it between my fingers. The light falls out of the headlamps of my car and floods the ground. Above me the night. The young woman disappeared between the lines and chokes on her own desperate cries. I laugh and realise how strange I became to myself."
Will Graham is not a murderer. He just feels like them. But things change and one day he wakes up in a foreign wood and can't remember how he got there. Surprisingly Hannibal seems to know all the more... -

Summary
"Fenris leans his zweihänder flat on his shoulder, slowly bobbing it up and down, and smiles. And then suddenly there's Anders, lifting his arms, his fingers in his hair tightening his ponytail. There's an afterglow in his eyes, magic slowly ebbing out of his body. And Fenris almost bites off his own tongue so he doesn't growl like an aggressive dog."
Fenris really hates Anders. But sometimes he wonders what the mage was like before. Before the magic, before the Circle, before Justice. He gets a glimpse one night.

Summary
"He thinks about the pure cocaine in the evidence locker down at the police station. He thinks about Crash who’s still there somewhere in his head. He thinks about Ginger and how fucked-up everything has been in those four years and how he somehow wishes he never quit the whole goddamn thing because, shit, he was good at being Crash, he really was."
In 1995 Rust tries to convince Marty to let him infiltrate the Iron Crusaders to get to Reggie Ledoux. All he needs is the box with stuff from his time as Crash, and a bag full of cocaine of course.
In 1992 Crash tries to convince Ginger that he's not an undercover cop, and he figures that letting himself get fucked could save his ass, ironically.
