After dying to the tree falling into camp, Longtail is given a choice: go back to the past or find his peace in StarClan. He chooses the past, finding himself all the way back at his time as a kit. As he grows, he finds himself seeing the world in a new light and finding relationships that he never had in the past. But will his actions help or hurt ThunderClan? And in the end, did he give up his last chance at peace by choosing to change things?

Summary
It has been four seasons since the cat hailed as the restorer of the Clans, Miststep, along with her friend and companion Ashflight, have last been sighted by the lake. SkyClan and those once known as Darktail’s Kin have settled into their respective territories, and ShadowClan and RiverClan, under the leaderships of Tigerstar and Duskstar respectively, have largely emerged from the looming shadows the Place of No Stars’ reign had left behind.
Among the stars, too, things appear tranquil. StarClan’s newly-instated policy of forgiveness and leniency towards the cats of the Dark Forest has reaped substantial results; most among the gloomy afterlife, after enduring countless moons of isolation and solitude, were more than willing to accept the olive branch extended to them by the Clan founders, and have successfully integrated into StarClan, reuniting with the kin and loved ones from which they had been separated from for so long. For now, then, it seems all is well…
