Kokichi didn’t know how to describe nights like these, where time seemed to stop and they’re coated in a sticky-sweet memory. It made his fingers twitch in a way he couldn’t control. His high crashed over him as a secondary wave hit and he closed his eyes, enjoying the elevation. Emotions that he rarely let himself feel washed over him, and his eyes flashed with something a little too close to intimacy and safety for his comfort.

Summary
Team Danganronpa took copies of their very selves, rearranged the pieces, and shoved them back inside the shells with little regard for what would happen next as long as it was entertaining. None of it was real to any of the his castmates, even though most of them are living fiction themselves. None of them are so literally split as Kokichi Ouma is, or at least they're not letting him in on that specific lie if they are.
Every *single* one of them acts as if it was all nothing but a simple game, even if their traumas tell a different story.
Nothing Ouma could have done back there, real or imagined could have endeared him to Momota so much that the other man would feel a connection now. So why is the so-called 'ultimate Astronaut' even trying so hard now?
