What she hadn't expected was for a certain ghost dragon to take a liking to her, remembering a debt he owed a familiar trainer centuries ago...
(Or Dawn and Giratina's perspectives of the final battle with Cyrus and the ghost dragon's fury at a strangely familiar ten year old being forced to fight for all existence.)

One misfortune after another finds Kari stranded in the distant past, isolated from anything and everything she'd once known. Her path forward is a treacherous one, but despite the hostile attitudes and Pokemon that meet her along the way, she may discover a new purpose in Hisui.
