The Tower is filled with people who will do anything to survive, including turning on their own companions. The higher their team climbs, the more of a rarity their trust for each other becomes, and the more driven the people around them are to tear them apart.
Including the floor tests themselves.
Bam let out a sigh, feeling some of the anxiety leak out of him with it. "The test director seemed like she had something against you. That's why I was worried."
"Plenty of people have something against me, Bam," Khun said with a quicksilver smile. "You'll go grey if you worry about every single one."
Someone needed to worry about Khun, since Khun certainly wouldn't do enough worrying for himself. Bam was more than willing to be the one to do it, even if he didn't have the words to say so to him. Instead, he latched onto something easier. "Have you found out anything else about the test yet?"
Bam wasn't surprised when Khun pulled a key fragment from his pocket.
"The test director sent doppelgangers after us because she thought we wouldn't be able to fight something with the face of a friend."

Summary
There's really only one problem with the whole 'recently awoken from a two year coma' thing, and it's not even physical. The case he was kept in had retained his strength- some shinsu bullshit, which seems to be the primary explanation for most things within the Tower. No. His problem.
His problem is Bam.
(aka s3 bam is surprisingly loud and active about how much affection he holds for khun. khun tries and fails to cope with this.)
