Summary
Allen doesn't trust the Black Order. He never has, not since Cross Marian tried to kill him. And so he's been running from them his whole life.
A fic where Allen and the members of the Order follow mostly canon compliant events, but modified. Allen has never been a member of the Black Order, or an official exorcist, and is deeply mistrustful of the Order and all who affiliate with it, even as he works to rid the world of akuma by himself.

Summary
Despite his better judgment, Allen Walker had become important to him. Not in the way that Lenalee or Tiedoll or Marie were. No, this was different, something in his chest squirming and reaching. He didn’t know what to do with the feeling, so he did nothing but observe.
It was how he noticed the change, the stiffening in Allen’s shoulders, the reddening of his neck, the shift in his scent. His scent had always been rather neutral like a beta’s, vaguely woodsy and savory. But this… this was sweet and tangy. Baked apples on a summer evening before a lightning storm. Perfectly whisked matcha beside a waterfall. Dark chocolate melting in the summer sun.
Or: Allen goes into preheat, and that's a problem. So, they find a solution.

Years have passed and the Holy War is just an obscure lesson taught in History class. However a strange phenomenon had progressively become more common: reincarnation. More and more people had started to remember their past lives, so much so that it was now considered a perfectly normal occurrence. Allen Walker is now back in this world and teaches History in a college.
