Summary
Steve Harrington loves the chase, but he’s never been on the opposite side of it. After years of striking out and a growing disinterest in dating, he’d decided to give up all together, because what’s the point in endlessly looking for the one when he can’t be bothered to look nice for his dates anymore?
But then Eddie Munson comes along and Steve wants to try for him, to get all dolled up for his first real crush in what feels like forever. He sees the way Eddie looks at him and he pretends to be innocently oblivious, because it feels so good to be the one pined over for the first time since high school.
Steve knows Eddie wants him, and it’s just harmless fun, right? Eddie doesn’t know that Steve wants him as more than a friend and a pair of hands in the dark, doesn’t know that Steve’s getting caught up in his feelings alongside his fantasies.
