Summary
Red hood's empire is starting to be quite huge. He never truly meant for it to. He only has a goal, crystal clear and a single rule. Never, under any kind of circumstances, should he make himself known to the Bats.
As his name spreads on every lips, like he is something that could be spoken into existence, he feels the paranoïa creeps in. (Wrong person he wants to snarl, can't you see I'm not the ghost haunting this place. An angel, some might say. Jason's been by his side long enough to call it what both Gotham and him are: Hell and its demon.)
Jason never removes his hood more than the handful of minutes it takes for him to eat and shower. He even sleeps with it, as if it'll protect him from the shadows that stretch along the walls. He knows the risks. Jason Todd is dead. He'd do well to remember that. Because as much as he wants revenge, wants to see the cooling green and purple body of his nightmares in front of him, he knows he can't ever show his face.
Working to enact his plan, gathering all the pawns needed for it, it should feel great, exhilarating. Jason feels... lonely.
Gotham doesn't let her Robins go so easily after all, if the way he woke up to wood and dirt is any indication.

Summary
The whole caped community has one thing in common with the villains and that’s that they know the Bats are a cult. Specifics are lost in translation, but the whispers of the underground can’t be ignored.
They know something happens, when a Robin steps down and another takes his place, his predecessor taking a new moniker and joining the shadows of Batman’s cowl. They know something happens, to turn someone ordinary into the sort of fighting machine that can stand against Superman.
There are rumors of operations, of surgeries and drugs, but they’re quickly discredited.
No, if there’s anything they know for certain about the Bats it’s that every last one of those masked faces is human, and all the more terrifying for it.
